Broken Chains, Eternal Promise

Broken Chains, Eternal Promise

I'm so thankful for the forgiveness and redemption Jesus has given us. When I look at this painting, I can feel the loving arms of God wrapped around me. And I can hear the words "welcome home". Be blessed!

Broken Chains, Eternal Promise by Melani Pyke

Acrylic and Oil

The broken chains are our being set free from bondage by the power of the Holy Spirit; on the other side are a man and woman embracing: Jesus Christ and the church, His bride. The interlocking rings resembling wedding rings remind us that this relationship is eternal. The mountain represents Mount Zion, a place of holiness and deliverance. “For I, the Lord, love justice... In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.” Isaiah 61:8
